Description of the procurement

Carers Support Service in Camden
The new service will support carers to improve or maintain their health and wellbeing to continue in their caring role. It will increase identification of carers, improve access to support for harder to reach carers, facilitate partnership working around the needs of carers and provide breaks and activities.
There is a demonstrable need for this type of service within Camden. The 2011 Census indicated that there were 17,306 residents providing unpaid care in Camden with numbers predicted to rise to 21,452 by 2022. It is acknowledged that carers are at disproportionate risk of experiencing health inequalities and evidence demonstrates that providing care can have a substantial impact on a carer’s current and future quality of life.
Please refer to the tender documents that can be access via EU Supply for all the information you need to submit a tender.
The contract will be for an initial period of 3 years, starting on or around 1st April 2018 with the possibility of 2 extensions each of 2 years at the sole discretion of the council.
