West Yorkshire Police have awarded a 4 year contract for the service of assisting the Force in recovering horses found loose on the public highway within West Yorkshire 24/7, 365(6) days a year. The successful service provider will transport the horses to a secure location and where possible will return the horses to their owners, should the owner be identified.

Description of the procurement

The Police and Crime Commissioner for West Yorkshire have awarded a contract with an experienced horse recovery expert to assist the Force in recovering horses found loose on the public highway 24/7, 365(6) days a year. The recovered horses will be transported to a secure location and, where possible, returned to their owners, should the owner be identified.
