Description:
Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) as the contracting authority are seeking for a suitable service provider to support and maintain the networking and connectivity infrastructure required for the operation of CCTV and ANPR systems. The Authority shall purchase an application hosting service from the successful supplier. The Supplier is responsible for supplying and installing the service in such a way that it can be accessed by GMP via the internet. The Supplier will also be responsible for purchasing and maintaining any equipment required to achieve this as specified within the tender specification. The new contract duration will be for a maximum of 5 years, 3 of which will be on a fixed term basis. The remaining 2 years will be based on a 1+1 option and is subject to the service provider being able to deliver and maintain the services and performance for GMP. Service providers wishing to bid for the services must first register on the Blue Light portal https://uk.eu-supply.com/login.asp?B=BLUELIGHT followed by downloading the tender documents. Bidders are advised not to communicate with any other persons at GMP Police concerning this tender about this exercise. Failure to comply with this requirement could result in disqualification from this procurement process. Tenderers should note that whilst the “Customer” is GMCA, the goods/services are essentially being delivered to GMP who will be the main users of the goods/services. Therefore the Chief Constable of GMP will be given equal rights to the GMCA to enforce the provisions of the Contract, under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999. Bidders are invited to study the requirements outlined in the tender documents and provide their best bid to meet the needs identified.Contract value is estimated between £300,000 to £360,000 per annum.
