GMPCC is seeking to appoint an Independent Provider (IP) to help victims cope and recover from the impact and consequences of crime. The IP: • will provide emotional and practical support for victims as required, including advocacy work, and take a multi-agency problem-solving approach. • will be co-located in each of the ten districts of Greater Manchester, within either police or multi-agency infrastructures. • must interact effectively with GMP and other partners to provide an integrated and streamlined response to enhance the victim offer.

Additional information

The IP will work closely with Greater Manchester Police and other partners to provide a victim-focussed approach. GMPCC is looking for a creative, outcome-focussed and flexible partner who can advocate for victims and survivors; support victims and survivors to be resilient; reduce bureaucracy; share information but protect the rights of victims; and work with local community services and assets.

Objective rules and criteria for participation

List and brief description of rules and criteria: As a minimum, bidders must be able to evidence successful delivery of at least one contract with a value of £400k p/a or above, and over a period of more than 12 months, within the past 3 years, the scope of which includes the provision of assessment, direct support and referral services. For bids which include partnership, consortia or prime contractor models, at least one organisation forming part of the combined bid must be able to demonstrate this experience.
