Short description

University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust are looking for a replacement system for their current Track and Trace provision. The system ideally needs to be internally hosted with simple and easy to use high-clarity graphics and our preferred option would have picture ability. The system must allow patient to patient traceability of every instrument or set, including quality control features with non-conformance management i.e. ability to record missing / damaged instruments & electronic functionality for reporting to quantify and demonstrate variances in quality.
Within the system, modules are to include at least (but not limited to): administration, reporting, costing, stock control, turn-around time, and instrumentation history. The system is also to have full management applications, including the following elements but not limited to; stock control, invoicing, tray list and label production, system reporting and analysis, data interrogation and item history audit.

This contract will be open to any NHS Trust or Organisation within the remit of the Bristol and Weston NHS Purchasing Consortium. This includes but not limited to University Hospitals Bristol NHS Foundation Trust, North Bristol NHS Trust, Weston Area Health NHS Trust, Bristol Community Health Community Interest Company, North Somerset Community Partnership. The awarded contract/agreement can could also be used by public/private sector organisations or services linked to any of the above organisations or other Acute NHS Sterile Service Providers within the Avon, Wiltshire, Somerset and Glos area as required. (Please see Pre-Qualification Documentation as required.)

Other additional information

A five-year fixed term contract will be awarded to the successful contractor. The contract may be extended by a further four years in periods of 24 months at the agreement of both parties and following regular performance review and achievement of key performance indicators.
The contract is anticipated to commence in January 2017 following the successful conclusion of this procurement process.
