Short description

As mobile devices are commonplace throughout society, the volume and
demand for the forensic examination of mobile devices is high and continuing to
grow. A technology solution is therefore required to support the South Yorkshire
Police (SYP) and Humberside Police (HP) service delivery model for mobile
device data examinations and reporting.
This solution must be able to allow and support practitioners (who will be of a
non-technical background) to adhere to the four ACPO principles when
conducting their examinations. These ensure best practice is followed to uphold
the quality and integrity of evidence. It is these principles which form the basis of
any digital data recovery, enhancement and interpretation process.
