The London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority (which runs the London Fire
Brigade) (“the Authority”) intends to award a contract for the provision of a Cycle to Work Scheme for the benefit of its employees.
The Authority is seeking expressions of interest from potential providers to award a contract to a single supplier to manage the ordering and administration of the lease agreement preferably through an online website facility and supply/collect the bicycles, cycling equipment/clothing. The Scheme is to be established in accordance with the terms of the Finance Act 1999 and the Income Tax (Earnings and Pensions) Act 2003.
The Authority employs some 7 000 operational and administrative employees at locations within the Greater London area that the Cycle to Work Scheme will be targeted.
The Authority requires that the ordering of bicycles and cycling safety equipment under the Cycle to Work Scheme will not be administered through a voucher based Cycle to Work system.
