UCLH/HIFU0414 - Replacement of High Intensity Ultrasound System (HIFU)

The team at UCH conduct a clinical programme into treating prostate cancer using HIFU. Over 1,000 treatments have been conducted in total of which approximately 400 have been using a focal therapy strategy. We are renowned for our work in tissue preservation and image-guidance to facilitate improved outcomes for men with this disease. The programme treats both treatment naïve men with low, intermediate and high risk disease and those men who have localised failure following previous treatment (such as radiotherapy or other ablative therapies).
