TGB approval has been gained to continue to purchase the use of the Online Solihull parenting platform as this is of significant importance in meeting Priority one and four of the Early Help Strategy and towards key performance indicators of the Early Help Implementation plan. Renewal of licence is required in March 2025. The Solihull Approach is about emotional health and wellbeing for all children, their parents, carers and grandparents. This Approach brings together a core team of NHS clinical psychologists, child psychotherapists, health professionals, and child and family practitioners, together with schools and parents to develop training to support people who work with children in ANY setting as well as for all parents who want to support and nurture emotional health. From 2019 Doncaster has purchased an annual license for residents to access the Solihull approach ‘In Our Place’ platform, this was extended in 2023 to include staff training. The current licence expires in March 2025. Solihull is an evidence-based approach to Parenting that is used by many Local Authorities, Health Trusts, and internationally; it is a core theoretical approach within Doncaster Practice Framework. Doncaster Parenting team delivers in-person Solihull courses, the platform expands the number of families we can reach and significantly reduces costs.
