The St John Ambulance and Rescue Service (SJARS) has a requirement for THREE FULLY ELECTRIC medium sized SUVs that will serve as Rapid Response Vehicles (RRV) within the SJARS fleet. One of those vehicles will be required to perform a dual role of RRV and Incident Officer car. The supplied vehicles, goods and equipment must comply with UK standards BS EN 1789 and the ECWVTA 2007/46/EC (‘ECWVTA’) (together ‘the Standards’), all as amended and/or replaced from time to time. Also, the Road Vehicles (Construction and Use) Regulations 1986 (and subsequent amendments), the Road Vehicles Lighting Regulations 1989 (and subsequent amendments), and any other statutes in force at the time of delivery. All electrical equipment must conform to the European Automotive EMC Directive 95/54/EC and must be stamped with the appropriate conformity `E` mark. The completed vehicles must comply and be certified to comply with the EEC Machinery Directive and subsequently “CE” marked before completion. Certificates to all relevant parts of the above are required for each relevant component fitted either loose or installed. The requirements of this specification must be complied with in every respect, unless varied in writing and approved by the Chief Executive Officer of SJARS. For the purposes of this tender, the St John Ambulance and Rescue Service (The Service) is the organisation having responsibility for the operation of the vehicle supplied under this specification.
