Sheffield Adult Health and Social Care is responsible for the planning, commissioning, and delivery of adult care services in Sheffield. Adult Health and Social Care is the support provided to help people of all ages with physical, learning disabilities, autism, mental illness, substance misuse or frailty. We are responsible for understanding people’s needs under the Care Act and for meeting those needs, either through Local Authority services or services we buy (for example from social care providers like home care services or the voluntary and community sector) or helping family and friends providing informal care.
