Barnsley Council will shortly be opening a competitive grant process for the Central Area Council Youth Work Fund. The Central Area Council Youth Work Fund has been established to deliver community-based and/or outreach/detached services for young people aged 13+ years across the Central Council area, to develop their social and life skills and strengthen emotional resilience, in preparation for a happy, healthy, and independent adulthood. The Youth Work Fund will look to commission projects from local providers and community organisations that will deliver community-based and/or outreach/detached services for young people aged 13+ years across the Central Council area, to develop their social and life skills and strengthen emotional resilience, in preparation for a happy, healthy, and independent adulthood. Participating young people should live in the five wards that make up the Central Council area. A market engagement event will be held via Microsoft Teams on Monday 9th May at 11am.
