The States of Guernsey through the Committee for Education, Sport and Culture is seeking expressions of interest from potential Guernsey based suppliers capable of undertaking Project Management and Contract Administration Services in support of the build of the new Guernsey Institute and co-located Sixth Form Centre. The plan for the Les Ozouets Campus is for the Guernsey Institute and the Sixth Form Centre to accommodate approximately 950 full time learners aged 16-20, 300 part time young learners aged 14-16, 40 learners with high needs, 500 apprentices and 3,000 part time adult learners. By nature of its unique location at Les Ozouets Campus, the curriculum provision for the Guernsey Institute is broad and offers provision on 13 of the 15 sector subject areas. Provision is from entry level to Higher Education and includes a range of bespoke employer facing learning and development. The new buildings and site will facilitate the Guernsey Institute’s vision of a community where all staff and learners are expected and encouraged to achieve and excel in every aspect of teaching and learning. The aim is to provide a single estate fit for the twenty first century that is carbon neutral and is both a community hub and industry partner. It will also seek to provide industry standard realistic work and learning environments that enable learners to develop occupational skills and be work ready. The new single site building will create a vibrant and inclusive centre for demand led professional, technical and vocational learning servicing the key industries within the community. The costs detailed below are the values for this construction project that we’re tendering for, not the overall project costs. These are the figures we’ve been using for all of the appointments to the Design Team and the Consultants generally base their fees on a percentage of the construction cost.
