City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council (the Council) covers an area of approximately 141 square miles. This includes Bradford city centre, the towns of Shipley, Bingley, Keighley and Ilkley and many other communities including Addingham, Baildon, Burley, Cullingworth, Denholme, Eastburn, Eccleshill, Haworth, Menston, Oxenhope, Queensbury, Silsden, Steeton and Thornton. The total population of the district the Council serves is approximately 546,400 (2021 Census)
The Council has an estate of approximately 450 properties across the district covering a range of property types including (but not limited to) offices, schools, libraries, leisure centres, residential homes, private residences and commercial premises. All bidders shall note that due to the Councils property realignment programme the number of properties is likely to fluctuate throughout the duration of the Contract.
The Council requires a suitably experienced Contractor to undertake the inspection, testing, maintenance and repairs to Intruder Alarm Systems (IAS), including any associated monitoring or signalling equipment at properties owned, operated or maintained by the Council. In addition to this, the Contractor will also be required to:
This service may be required at both commercial and domestic premises at any time of the day, seven days a week, 365 days of the year.
This may extend to Educational properties and commercial customers who sign up to the Council’s Service Level Agreement (SLA), managed by the Building and Technical Service team.
