T/CY009/23 - E3 Foyer Refurbishment at UKAEA Culham Science Centre

The E3 Foyer is within the Culham Science Centre. The ground floor comprises an entrance lobby with manual and automatic doors, a large lounge and a coffee bar. A wide staircase rises from the ground floor and divides into two separate staircases to the first floor which comprises a balcony area. The refurbishment works includes: • Full internal ground floor and first floor strip out, except newly installed balustrades and Costa Coffee refit • New full height partition at the mezzanine floor – overhanging the entrance foyer • New bi folding doors to front elevation • New side windows to front elevation • New circular sliding doors to front elevation • New suspended ceiling throughout including fire stopping • New internal fire doors • New lighting throughout • Adaptation of existing power provisions, including containment for later AV installation • New heating and ventilation throughout • New / extended fire alarm system throughout • New carpet • Full internal redecoration • Structural works for bracing to the new partition, supports to the new front elevation doors, supports to 1st floor slab for services cut outs, supports to roof for new heat recovery unit
