TENDER FOR Lemur Enclosure Lotherton Hall

Yortender reference: 98049

I am inviting you to submit a tender for the above.

Lotherton's Wildlife World hosts a collection of animals protected and preserved by the site, some of which are part of international breeding and conservation programmes. The site is home to a spectacular variety of wildlife species including emus, cranes, Arthur the tapir and critically endangered Visayan warty pigs.

During the winter December 2024 snowfall caused nets to the aviary enclosure to break under the huge amount of weight which unfortunately led to the escape of a number of aviary birds some of which were successfully recaptured however some birds did perish. The aviary enclosure will now house Lemur wet nose primates and work well underway to adapt the existing enclosure.

Work required

The work involves the removal of the existing netting to the enclosure which is zip tied to the cables and an approximate height of10m. The enclosure includes undulating surface with rocks and boulders, there is also a pond area.
