Option A comprises the provision of a new modular office to the site (to be designed and procured by the principal contractor, demolition of the existing modular office on completion and decant to the new office, garages, drainage works and external works and drainage along remodelling to existing offices and work areas and making good the interface between the existing workshop offices and demolished modular offices. Option B Option B will be as per the above, but have a separate direct contractor to undertake an external fabric retrofit to the modular offices (no new modular offices required, no demolition of existing and no making good of the junction to the existing building is required). There will be no requirement to form the rear car park to the space left by the demolition of the offices under Option A. The direct contractors works will be in the area of the works possessed by the main contractor therefore there will be a contractor under CDM to the principal contractor.
