Sheffield Home Services

Sheffield City Council is exploring options for home services that enable and support people with their shopping and/or cleaning requirements. Shopping/cleaning needs (and the outcomes they relate to) are currently met via Sheffield City council’s existing home care provision. However, due to our home care transformation project, the approach to shopping and cleaning support will change; this was detailed in the specification for our new home care service, (referred to as the ‘Care and Wellbeing Service’), which is due to commence in September 2023. The specification stated that ‘Visits solely for the purpose of shopping and/or cleaning will not be commissioned via this service except by rare exception.’
