Remembering What’s Forgotten has being conceptualised by Synergi-Leeds and Words of Colour as a co-produced, 15-month hybrid exhibition to unearth, amplify and showcase the people, initiatives and lived experiences championing equity in mental health for ethnically diverse communities in Leeds - from the Past, Present and Future. The proposal is for a series of interconnected thematic events and commissions, underpinned by qualitative research, to capture lived experience and lesser-known history in different ‘spaces’ and environments in Leeds. They will be co-produced with community members, service users, carers and artists, using a variety of creative mediums to hold contextualised conversations around health inequalities in mental health, leading to a hybrid (digital archive and in person) exhibition showcase. The project will be exposed to an ongoing evaluation process.
