Directors of Public Health in England have a statutory duty to write an Annual Public Health Report to demonstrate the state of health within their communities. The 2023 report will focus on the impacts of the commercial determinants of health in the city of York. The report will draw on some historical evidence from documents accessed at the local archives. Although this is an independent report from the Director of Public Health, the Council’s corporate style guide does need to be adhered to. This is to ensure the report is accessible to a wide variety of audiences; therefore, consideration must be given to accessibility and readability. As the report will be generally accessed online, web accessibility will also need to be considered prior to publication. The agency will be required to provide creative input into the overall look and feel of the report, alongside embedding, text, images and diagrams as appropriate. We would like this report to be visually engaging and enticing to the reader. The report is a substantial document of approximately 10,500 words and is comparable to a government policy document. The successful supplier will appoint an agency project lead to have ultimate responsibility for quality standards within the delivery of this project. The project is for one Director of Public Health Annual Report per year up to 2025. The contents of the documents will be provided by the Public Health Team and given to the supplier to incorporate into the report documents.
