Leeds City Council are required by Department of Work and Pensions (DWP) to employ the services of an Independent Auditor who are qualified accountants and are registered with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW) as public auditors to fulfil the role of the Reporting Accountant for the assurance of Leeds City Council’s housing benefit subsidy claims from 2023-24.
