The Waste Management Group (WMG) at CCFE have identified the requirement for a high-resolution gamma-spectroscopy system to provide detailed reporting of gamma emitting radionuclides present in waste drums to allow consignment for incineration or to landfill as Low Activity Low Level Waste (LA-LLW).
