TENDER
You are invited to submit your tender for the above works and all relevant documents have been
uploaded to the tender portal which you should have received an invite.

The works centre on the upgrade of the Trust’s electrical infrastructure, centering on the replacement
of four substations, two LV switchgear panels, the installation of three new generators, and other
associated work. Please note and as outlined elsewhere in these tender documents, an order has
already been placed for the first generator – this will be available for collection by the successful
tenderer at a location within 20 miles of the Trust (this forms part of the Contract works). The Works
also include associated builders and structural works to facilitate the new installation.
Please note, there are some nuances with regards the proposed phasing of the works, which are
detailed further in the ‘Tender Deliverables and Evaluation’ section of this document.

For purposes of the Tender, you will be deemed to have visited the site, inspected the drawings and
familiarised yourself with the nature of the site, local conditions and complexity of the work etc. With
regard to co-ordination and management of the work on site, a Draft Programme is also required.
In addition to the requirements set out in the Tender Deliverables and Evaluation section, we are
conscious given the nature of the works there may be a desire to alter the standard payment terms
for key items of plant and the like. If so, these need to be outlined as part of your tender response
for discussion with the Trust.

Please note that all Tender Forms must be fully completed and signed and uploaded. If
Tender Forms are returned incomplete, the Tender will immediately become null and void.
Please note the form of appointment will be JCT Intermediate Building Contract with Contractor’s
Design 2016 Edition.

The intended date for works commencement is the last week of June 2020 (although this date is to
be confirmed). The completion date is to be advised by the tenderer as part of their tender response,
although please note the phasing requirements outlined as part of these tender documents.
