The quote/tender has ended, you cannot answer the invitation.

The Serious Violence Duty commenced on the 31st January 2023 as defined in Chapter 1 of Part 2 of the PCSC Act 2022. It requires Specified Authorities to work together to prevent and reduce serious violence, including identifying the kinds of serious violence that occur in the area, the causes of that violence, and to prepare and implement a strategy for preventing, and reducing serious violence in the area using a Public Health approach. The Specified Authorities for the Serious Violence Duty in Northamptonshire are referred to as the Northamptonshire Serious Violence Alliance (NSVA). NSVA organisations wish to explore activity which can deliver prevention and reduction activity via a public health approach from the 1st April 2024 – until March 2025 (further funding is expected post 2025 but has not yet been confirmed). The focused needs for the County will be outlined in more detail in a draft Strategic Needs Assessment (SNA) being delivered by the end of September 2023. However, to begin conversations a Terms of Reference (TOR) has been defined by the Specified Authorities as encompassing: • Personal Robbery • Knife Crime • Youth Violence - associated crime and behaviours especially for those ages 25 and under • Domestic Abuse • Rape and Serious Sexual Assault • Night Time Economy – associated crimes and behaviours The Specified Authorities are keen to engage with suppliers to explore services which could be delivered to help address the above requirements. There will be an engagement event held on 18th October (venue to be confirmed) in which suppliers can hear more about the findings of the Strategic Needs Assessment and share innovative ideas/services to support NSVA in fulfilling our duty. If you would like to attend the event please contact us via email at commercial@northants.pnn.police.uk by Wednesday 11th October.
