7F-2020-0387 - Fire Doors and Critical Glazing Inspection and Maintenance Services - Market engagement
The 7 Force procurement team is conducting a market engagement exercise on behalf of its clients whereby it is seeking input from the market to ascertain the feasibility of the scope and indicative costing of Fire Door and Critical Glazing Inspection and Maintenance services. Kent Police and Kent Fire and Rescue have each identified a need for a contractor/contractors to undertake inspections of their fire doors and critical glazing at buildings across their estates. There will be an element of ongoing maintenance required, and where necessary, reactive/emergency maintenance may be necessary. Whilst the other six forces in the 7F collaboration, and Essex Fire and Rescue, have not currently indicated a need for similar services, the intention is that they will be named in any Contract Notices and any resulting contracts will be available to them. Contractors that are potentially interested in bidding for this works are invited to engage with the Procurement lead and provide input/feedback into a number of areas to assist the Authorities with planning this procurement.
