Attend as second response, jointly with police following risk assessment, to the home of victims in order to provide weekend and out of hours support services and to engage victims of domestic abuse at the earliest opportunity. Offer specialised independent domestic abuse support, in line with that provided by Independent Domestic Violence Advocate, Domestic Abuse Prevention Advocate or other domestic abuse accredited training programmes, to enable risk reduction, and safety planning to be coordinated for victims, to minimise likelihood of further abuse. Provide navigation assistance to victims to access help and support from partner agencies who can help with trauma recovery following domestic abuse, strategies for improving health and wellbeing, re-establishing emotional resilience and coping skills, re-establishing coping and independent living skills, capitalising on support networks to increase their socialisation, resilience, and use available resources for self-improvement.
