DS206-19 - Powered Flat-bottomed Craft

Devon & Somerset Fire & Rescue Authority seeks to appoint a single supplier to provide two Powered Flat-bottomed Craft, to be used for rescue and evaluation of persons/animals from areas of flooding and estuarial waters, search activities and supporting other agencies. The Craft, fully inflated, shall be no more than 2.4 metres wide and between 5 metres and 6 metres long with a capacity of carrying at least 8 persons (including the helmsman) and a person lying on a stretcher. The Craft shall meet the requirements of the DEFRA Flood Rescue Concept of Operations. The Craft shall be capable of being powered by a 50hp outboard engine and transported, fully inflated, on a road trailer - both of which will be provided by the Authority. Leisure craft will not be considered.
