Royal Berkshire Fire Authority “the Authority” is seeking to select a remediation contractor to be the nominated subcontractor for the remediation works on a contract for the construction of a new fire station at Theale, Reading. All interested contractors are required to complete this Suitability Questionnaire and Invitation to Tender as well as the Contract Sum Analysis / Pricing Document (see Financial and Contract UAC document). Following evaluation of the Suitability Questionnaire and Invitation to Tender and Contract Sum Analysis / Pricing Document (see Section J for details of the evaluation), the preferred contractor will be nominated as a subcontractor on the main contract for the construction of the new fire station. The Suitability Questionnaire is partly based on PAS 91 with supplemental questions. The evaluation of the Suitability Questionnaire will consist of some pass / fail questions and some scored questions. An applicant’s Invitation to Tender and the Contract Sum Analysis / Pricing Document will only be evaluated if that applicant passes the Suitability Questionnaire The draft preliminaries and contract conditions for the main contract are included for information purposes in the Financial and Contract UAC document. The final contract will be awarded and put in place with a JCT contract.
