165F_PSU SHIELDS - Framework For The Supply, Maintenance and Disposal of Police Support Unit Riot Shields

The contract includes three main elements, the supply of PSU Riot Shields, the maintenance and repair of PSU Riot Shields and the recycling of PSU Riot Shields. Any bidder tendering for this contract must be aware that the contract will be awarded to a SINGLE provider and as such they must be able to provide all three elements detailed above and as stated in section 1.2.5 of the ITT. The shields are to be used for both training and operational purposes, and they must be able to survive extreme forms of attack which could include thrown missiles, edged weapons and petrol bombs. Bidders Will be required to Provide ALL shield types listed in the URD and must be able to not only provide, but maintain and securely recycle them.  If a bidder is non compliant for any requirement for a particular shield they will be removed from the procurement process .
